Regina Hitzenberger has been Vice-Rector for Infrastructure since 2015. She studied physics, astronomy and mathematics at the University of Vienna and obtained her doctoral degree in 1982. Following research stays in the US and Japan, Hitzenberger received her habilitation degree in 1993. From 1997 to 2011, she was associate professor at the Faculty of Physics. Since 2012, she has been Professor of Aerosol and Cluster Physics at the University of Vienna. Regina Hitzenberger is a member of the American Association for Aerosol Research and the American Geophysical Union.
